Snow, ice, more snow and flailing limbs. This pretty much sums up the last week or so for myself in the, now annual, Irish ‘Cold Snap’.

Snow & Ice

The last 10 days or so have seen a fairly hefty cold snap, by Irish standards anyway. As beautiful as it was at first the conditions are now starting to grate. Several half-thaws here and there have led to icy rather than snowy conditions.

I am not graceful on the ice I have to admit. I once tried ice skating and after nearly killing a 3 year old boy with my flailing feet, I decided to give it a miss. Naturally Laura nearly peed herself laughing at me, but this is to be expected, and to be fair, is….fair.

I did manage to get a photograph of the snow on one of my few ventures into the glacial wilderness of Wicklow town. Behold the HDR magnificence of Wicklow church. I have started experimenting with HDR so expect to see more of the same coming soon.
