Rude awakening

I was awoken this morning at 2.10am by what I can only describe as the loudest angle grinder known to man. I am generally quite a heavy sleeper, but this thing let out one immense din! To be (extremely) fair these could have been emergency rail repairs, but knowing Iarnrod Eireann this was a bunch of guys getting some nice overtime.
Seeing how I was already awake I decided to grab the camera and put a few frames on the delightful sparks erupting from the apocalyptic noise making below.
Probably the most amusing aspect of the whole thing was the other workmen gawking up at all the windows in my apartment block. Were they being thoughtful or just taking bets on how many lights would come on…
