Who am I?
My name is Owen Mc Gauley and I am an Irish jack-of-all-trades, master of some. I was born in 1980 and have been a resident of Wicklow town for my entire life, give or take the odd week here and there. You can find my contact details at the bottom of this article.
How did I get here?
I am basically self-taught in all areas digital. I am a self-confessed geek and have dabbled in most areas of digital creativity; be it 3D, sound/video editing, print. For the moment I have settled on a few disciplines; web design (standards compliant of course), photography and photo retouching. I still dabble in a little print work, but the former are where I spend most of my time.
I have been web designing for around nine years and in the last couple of years have started to concentrate on producing websites with XHTML and CSS. I have also started to dabble in a little ajax.
What else do I do?
In June 2006 I took up a sport I had wanted to become proficient in for as long as I can remember – Archery. I am currently a member and absentee PR officer of Woodbrook Archers, Ireland’s largest archery club. I don’t shoot as often as I would like, but I’m working on it. I am currently shooting a Hoyt Matrix with 38lb Challenger Craft limbs.
